A. Tollgate Hire charge by the day. Each day is 24 hours from the
time the vehicle is collected until it is returned.
Q. How much is the deposit?
A. £100 in addition to the rental charge.
(The deposit amount will be raised where Tollgate Hire Limited
feel it is necessary to do so).
Q. What details will Tollgate Hire require before renting?
A.
- Deposit of £100 paid on a credit or debit card
- Recent proof of address ie utility bill or bank statement
- Driving Licence - both parts if photo type licence
Q. Do you have a drop off facility for out of hours returns?
A. Yes. Tollgate Hire vehicles can be returned 24/7. This is especially popular on a Sunday evening.
Q. Who insures the vehicle?
A. Tollgate can arrange insurance, or you can elect to use your own (subject to Tollgate Hire approving).
Q. Can we park at Tollgate Hire, when we are renting a vehicle?
A. Yes. Tollgate Hire has a customer car park that can be accessed whilst we are open for business, Please ask details.

Q. Can we have additional drivers?
A. Providing that the extra driver meets our rental criteria we can add another driver, Before driving, additional drivers need to sign the appropriate "additional driver form" at our depot and produce their driving licence.
Q. What happens if I breakdown?
A. All Tollgate Hire rental vehicles are covered with 24hour roadside assistance. The number can be found on the back of the tax disc holder. Tollgate Hire also has it's own mechanics and recovery vehicles to ensure tha usualltt itiesif there is a prol authorblem that it you are swiftly dealt with, with the minimum delay.

Q. How can we find out how much weight a vehicle will carry?
A, Our trained staff will be more than happy to advise of the most efficient way to transport your load, please don't hesitate to ask! We can help you with journey costing, route planning and safe loading, please ask!

Q. Can I take the vehicle to a local amenity site? (local refuse tip)
A. Yes. However, the local authorities usually ask for a copy of the rental agreement and a utility bill to prove that you live in the district of the amenty site, Also we can advise on which van will be best, as height barriers very often limit some types of van.
Q. Can we pay by credit or debit card?
A. Yes. However American Express and Dinners Card is not accepted.
Q. Can we arrange a Corporate Account?
A, Yes. For regular users conveinient Corporate Accounts can be arranged (subject to status),

Q. What is the minimum age to rent from Tollgate Hire?
A. The minimum age for vans is 21, cars 25, people carriers and buses 30.
